That’s the mindset Dirk had when he created Wasted Fabrics.

Since 1995, Dirk has been working in the textile industry as an agent for top brands in Belgium, the Netherlands, and France. Over the years, he noticed something alarming: tons of unused, high-quality fabrics sleeping in the warehouses of fabric producers, brands, and designers — forgotten materials destined to be destroyed.

That’s where Wasted Fabrics was born: a platform dedicated to European deadstock fabrics, handpicked and offered to those who want to create more sustainably – designers, students, brands, and passionate sewists alike.

With over 30 years of industry experience and a trusted network of fabric hunters, Dirk and his team bring you some of the finest forgotten textiles in Europe.

P.S. Once in a while, we open our warehouse to the public for a big stock sale. Sometimes we also organise Pop Up outside our doors. Dates are shared on our social media – keep an eye out!
